Financial Services Project

Trading Application for a Major Investment Bank

Details

Project Description

New York Technology Partners architected, designed, developed, tested and implemented a trading application utilizing Object Oriented Programming (C/C++, Java, and Python). The trading application provided Financial Advisors with the capability to manage a client’s portfolio and suggest a strategic proposal for a given investment. The application also helps Financial Advisors and traders to create an investment strategic model for their clients. The model interfaces with either internal or external company money managers. The portfolio may contain derivatives, securities, mutual funds, index funds, and bonds.

Financial Advisors can map these managed models directly to clients’ accounts. Using these model definition client accounts would undergo trading to build a portfolio. This application also proposed to buy, sell and exchange trade recommendations based on client holdings and model allocations, which were then sent to trading systems during model changes and rebalance activities. These trades were settled at external or internal trading systems, based on security types and trade volume.
