EHS Manager
Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, implement and manage safety programs, policies and procedures as needed. 
 Provide monthly metrics for each department and work with them to identify and correct areas of opportunity in a positive productive manner.
- Direct activities of the Safety Trainer and the Safety Coordinator to support the plant objectives. 
- Prepare monthly safety performance reports including 12 month rolling safety chart (includes green card, first aid/near miss trends and recordable incidents), inspection audit summary, corporate metrics. 
- Identify hazardous conditions/actions within the plant and recommend corrective measures. 
- Use 5-why’s to investigate all injuries, first aids, near misses and property losses. 
- Analyze data collected through first aid, near miss, internal/external Audits, green cards, etc to lead corrective actions. 
- Organize, oversee and track all plant safety training. 
- File and maintain SDS sheets 
- Assist in identifying appropriate personal protective equipment for all tasks. 
- Manage regulatory inspection personnel such as insurance carriers, OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc. 
 QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
- 5+ years of safety leadership experience in an industrial setting. (Bachelor's Degree in EHS Management preferred) 
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously. 
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other government regulations. 
- Experience implementing Behavioral Based Safety programs
